In Japanese folklore, the word Yosei (妖精) isn't just about a standard fairy; it encompasses spirits, myths, and all those whimsical creatures that live in the corners of our imagination.

Hi, I’m Miguel, a 33-year-old from Mexico, and I’m the founder of Yosei Mart. All my life, I’ve been a massive fan of fantasy, sci-fi, and anime. I grew up devouring stories like The Lord of the Rings, exploring distant galaxies in Star Trek and Stargate, and marveling at Japanese culture. For me, fantasy has never been just a hobby; it’s a way of looking at the world with a sense of wonder.

The "Cool Uncle" and the Memory Factory

If you ask my nieces and nephews who I am, they’ll probably tell you I’m the uncle who shows up to family gatherings with weird board games like King of Tokyo or Munchkin. They might mention the time I brought out a telescope to point at the stars, or when I showed them how a 90s digital pet like Digimon worked. My mission in the family has always been to look after the little ones, make sure everyone is included in the fun, and, above all, help create lasting memories.

Yosei Mart was born from that exact same spark. I wanted to build a space that brought together my love for fantasy with everyday objects that make you smile. I stepped into the world of kawaii and cozy items because I truly believe a plushie or a curious accessory isn't just an object—it’s a smile waiting to happen.

My Curation Promise: Miguel’s Filter

Yosei Mart is an independent store taking its very first steps. In this initial stage, we operate under a model where I meticulously select the products, and our trusted manufacturing partners ship them directly to your doorstep.

I know there are thousands of options on the internet, which is why I take selecting each item very seriously. Before a plushie makes it onto the store, I ask myself a few questions:

• Is it genuinely cute and well-detailed?
• Does it have excellent reviews, and do customers' real photos match the manufacturer's description?
• Can I picture a kid hugging it, or a parent playfully teasing their child with it, creating a brand-new family memory?

If it doesn’t pass this filter, it doesn’t make it into Yosei Mart.

Looking Toward the Future

We are starting from the ground up, funding this dream step-by-step with every single sale. My ultimate goal isn’t to stay here: I want to build our own physical inventory, design my own custom plushie models, and even write short backstories and comics to go with each character. I want you to take home a new friend with its very own universe.
